Exploring Polymer Art in Jewelry Making

An in-depth study of the fascinating possibilities with polymer in art jewelry. This course is a beginner to intermediate level class that will cover the following:

-Proper conditioning techniques
-Learning to use a pasta machine for creating veneers
-Using silkscreens and mixed media for creating stunning effects
-How to form and cut a pendant
-How to form and cut earrings
-Learn proper curing times and how to make your work last a lifetime
-Finishing techniques that will give your work the ultimate professional appearance.

Fee is $95 for members, $105 for non-members. All materials are included. Please call 843-887-3157 to reserve a spot.

Join me, Shannon Tabor, for a fun 2 hour hands on workshop in the art of polymer clay!  Beads and Brushstrokes of Mount Pleasant will be hosting us on March 26th, 2016 from 10:30-12:30.  

Pricing for 2 hour session is $25 plus you must purchase your materials at the store.

Come and learn how to make an entire necklace using an ancient Japanese technique!   Set yourself apart from the competition! You will learn proper handling of the clay, precision cutting techniques, color blends, preventing bubbles,  creating a smooth and even finish, and of course the art of Mokume Gane. You even get to learn some of my secret techniques for beautiful finishes.  

No prior experience with clay is necessary, as we will do a small intro to the medium in the beginning of class.  Some samples of what we will be working on are below.  However, you will lots of options in both color and design!
